The ACE provides a unique 5-digit registration code for all Kupe compatible hardware and can be used as the call-sign (Selcall ID) for the telematics host. This allows the host, or any radio connected to it, to be swapped for maintenance purposes without affecting the settings applicable to the installation.
At power up, the telematics host can register with the Kupe system and automatically reconfigure itself based on the registration code supplied by the ACE.
