CAC204
4-channel G.729 vocoder board.
The CAC204 is a 4-channel vocoder board suitable for connection to SAM. It facilitates bi-directional conversion between G.729 encoded digital audio streams and the following standard formats:
- G.711u
- G.711A
- PCM
The board is connected to the host device via USB. SAM can support up to 4 x CAC204, providing a maximum of 16 vocoder channels.
G.729 is a low bandwidth audio compression algorithm supported by our legacy ORC100 and ORC400 RoIP gateways, along with various PABX and telephony systems.
