CAC104

4-channel AMBE+2 vocoder board.

The CAC104 is a 4-channel vocoder board suitable for connection to SAM. It facilitates bi-directional conversion between AMBE+2 encoded digital audio streams and the following standard formats:

G.711U
G.711A
PCM

The board is connected to the host device via USB. SAM can support up to 4 x CAC104, providing a maximum of 16 vocoder channels.

AMBE+2 is used for audio compression on Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) radio systems.
