The CAC106 is a compact 6-channel audio transcoder, used for converting digital audio streams between AMBE+2 and G.711 format. It is primarily intended for use with our Crosswire® radio dispatch system, allowing it to interface with radio equipment conforming to the Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) Application Interface Standard (AIS). Using sophisticated signal processing hardware, the device intercepts Real-Time Protocol (RTP) packets and performs bi-directional conversion of payload data between supported audio formats. Its small form factor makes it ideal for retrofitting within existing installations and provides a cost effective mechanism for supporting multiple DMR channels.
